Emily Chittenden-Laird

Chapter Specialist

Emily Chittenden-Laird first came to the CAC movement as an AmeriCorps VISTA in a small town in West Virginia, serving in the roles of communications, fund development, and forensic interviewing. After two years in that role, she accepted a job as the Director of the Chapter in West Virginia and worked there for 10 years. During her time there, the Chapter grew the CAC network from 2 accredited CACs to 20, grew funding for the Chapter and local CACs, diversified the board and funding base, and deepened program offerings at statewide and local levels. After spending a few years as a consultant and Chief Operations Officer at 84 Agency, she returned to the CAC field as Chapter Specialist at SRCAC.
