Facilitator Roundtable: Advancing Forensic Interviewer Peer Review

Southern Regional CAC is pleased to host a series of Facilitator Roundtables: Advancing Forensic Interviewer Peer Review. This opportunity helps participants develop a foundational understanding of healthy facilitation techniques, explore research-based approaches to effective peer review, and build relationships with fellow participants.

The roundtables include five monthly, virtual 120-minute sessions. Each meeting begins in a large-group setting to explore a topic related to facilitating peer review for forensic interviewers. Participants then transition into Zoom breakout rooms for small-group discussion and resource sharing. Each session concludes with all participants reconvening for a Q&A with SRCAC staff.

Between virtual sessions, SRCAC staff will send check-in emails to the cohort that include additional readings, research, or literature related to roundtable discussion topics. These check-ins also include prompts that encourage participants to apply the material to their practical experiences.

After the five-part series, SRCAC staff are available to observe facilitators’ peer review sessions and provide feedback on facilitation skills learned in the roundtable sessions.

Targeted Audience

Participation is open nationwide to eligible professionals who are currently tasked with facilitating peer review sessions for forensic interviewers. These sessions can be run at the local CAC level, statewide level or regional level. Participants will be asked to complete evaluation surveys after each session.

Participants must be available to participate in each roundtable session. The inability to participate in all roundtables will make you ineligible to participate (please confirm availability before applying)
