As Senior Project Specialist, Cym is responsible for developing and delivering training and technical assistance for multidisciplinary teams and children’s advocacy centers in 16 states in the U.S. Southeast Region. She has conducted trainings or provided oversight through SRCAC for trainings and technical assistance for over 30,000 professionals in her 11 years at NCAC. Trainings and technical assistance have been provided through workshops at local, regional, state, national and international child abuse conferences, customized trainings, videoconferencing, telephone, and electronic formats. She specializes in multidisciplinary team training, CAC development, strategic planning, board development, and child protective services. Cym previously served as the Director of the Department of Human Resources in Madison, Clarke, and Choctaw counties in Alabama, where she was responsible for child and adult protective services, foster care, adoptions, day care, child support, food stamps and other benefit programs. Cym received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Alabama and also completed the Program for Senior Executives in State and Local Government at Harvard University. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker.
